A Big Tour Ahead
April 16, 2008
So the big news was that Motley will be out on tour this summer in a festival named the CrueFest with Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx A.M., and Trapt. The news was slightly anticlimatic after all the hype of a “colossal announcement”. But, hell, it was great to see the four of them on stage together again. There is something magical for me in seeing those four guys up on stage together making music. I was pissed that I had to leave my office today at 4:30pm to catch the van pool home! They were just waiting for the Crue to get back up on stage and play some songs from their new album when I had to walk out! Damn, Damn, Damn!
I had to wait until after dinner to see the telecast that Claudia recorded for me from Fuse TV. It was well worth the wait. Vince is still the weak link in the band, but will always be the voice of Motley Crue. The chemistry of those four on stage is such that I don’t think that Motley would be the Crue without any one of those four guys on stage. Just my opinion, but I am sticking to it.

“Hockey, Hockey, Hockey”
April 6, 2008
The title is a direct quote from my daughter Nuria. She seems to be quite the field hockey fan. As of a few months ago, she has been grabbing my field hockey stick (which is twice as tall as she is!) and trying to hit the field hockey ball with it. This had been going on for a while by the time that I checked online and found out that I could buy her an 18 inch field hockey stick of her own!
So now I when I walk in the room and ask her where her hockey stick is, she will run over and pick up her stick while yelling “Hockey, Hockey, Hockey!” (She is starting to show signs of being quite the talker, I know, big surprise given who her father is!) She loves to go out to the grass behind our house and attempt to dribble the hockey ball around with her new stick. It is very cute!
Here are a few photos of her with her new field hockey stick. She still has to work on her grip as you can see in the photos, but, hey, she is only 17 months old!!!
We have relearned so much about the joys of life from our little bundle of energy!
