Cool Gift

A while back, we were able to reconnect with a friend after quite of number of weeks.  This was the first time that our friend, Adam Daniel, has been able to visit since Nuria was born.  Nuria really took to her Uncle Adam and they both got along swimmingly!  He brought her a fantastic gift ….. a Motley Crue onesie that is just the greatest gift that I have ever seen in my entire life!  Of course, Claudia is not necessarily as convinced of the fact as myself but thought that it was cute nonetheless.  The onesie is 3-6 months, so I will post a photo as soon as Nuria is big enough to wear it.

Wonderful Highs and Difficult Lows

As you have read, Claudia and I were blessed with a wonderful, beautiful baby daughter on October 26, 2006.  This past 6 weeks (she was 6 weeks old yesterday) have been some of the most amazing weeks that either one of us have ever experienced.  There is nothing that can prepare you for the moment that your child looks up at you and smiles!  Nothing can compare!

But life has a strange way of reminding you of the balance inherent in our existence.  Today I received the sad news that a friend our ours, Pamm Young, after a long 8 month bout of hospitalization (including a liver transplant) had made the decision to pass peacefully by stopping her life support.  Pamm is a wonderful woman that we will all miss terribly.  Everyone that was ever blessed to be a part of her life will be greatly diminished by her passing.  She is a gentle soul that treated others the way that she wished to be treated and is an example to all of us in our pursuits of leading a good, life-affirming life.  She was always there to lend an ear and offer a kind word. 

So, please, take the time over the course of the next few days to make sure that the individuals in your lives know how much they mean to you.  You may make a big difference in your world.  If we all make our small corners of the world better places, the world will be a better place.
