My Mom’s birthday celebration today was great. She got a new record player (remember those?!?) to play all of her LPs and 45s that she has not been able to listen to for years. You wouldn’t believe how difficult it is to find a record player that holds multiple records and plays them in sequence. You remember…the ones that you would put 4 LPs onto the spindle and it would drop and play them one at a time. So we spent a portion of the evening listening to my Mom’s original Elvis 45s. Now that was cool. Until next time.

Today we celebrated my mother’s birthday. She was taken to Disneyland for the day by my sister. Tomorrow we are going to be celebrating my mom’s birthday with the rest of my family. I just finished training my new staff at College Academic Counseling and they will begin counseling students on Monday morning. So the new year begins at UCLA! I have to finish an abstract this weekend for an Egyptology conference at BYU-Hawai’i.
